Designer names: Sid Bryan, Joe Bates and Cozette McCreery

Origin: The designers come from Yorkshire, Leicester and London respectively.

Career highlight: “A personal one for us would be seeing people we don't know wearing SIBLING, like on the tube or in the street. We know the effort that has gone into tracking down and buying a piece.”

Design signatures: “Colourful, well-made, luxury knitwear for a man bored with the grey V-neck option.”

How would you describe the Sibling man? “A man of any age with a sense of humour as defined in his sense of fashion.”

Trademark piece: “If it were a popularity contest, it would be a fight between the Knit Monster and the printed Knitted Biker. Knit Monster probably wins although we do produce a version of both a biker jacket and a fair isle most seasons. As a signature look, it’s probably a punked-up fair isle scarf under a knitted biker.”

Three autumn/winter 2012 inspirations: “Dark, sequins and Kanaval.”

What does 2012 hold for your brand? “It will be the first time we show at LFW on models and that's exciting. Being pure-knit, we always love the autumn/winter season and hopefully it will be a good one.”

What is your favourite decade in fashion? “We dip into so many areas it's hard to pinpoint one. For AW12 we feel that it's quite modern. A modern take on voodoo perhaps?”

Where do you go in London to seek artistic inspiration? “V&A, The British Museum, Donlon Books and just general mooching about.”
