Aurasma brought LFW to digital life this season. Aurasma is a
new technology that’s capable of recognising images and objects in the
real world and seamlessly integrating them with rich video content and
audio.
Using a smartphone, all the LFW visitor has to do is download the free
Aurasma Lite app and then hold the phone over the LFW logo or image, at
which point it will spring to life and bring you exclusive LFW video
content.
Step 1
DOWNLOAD "A"
The free Aurasma Lite app from iTunes. Or download here if you're on Android.
Step 2
POINT
at the LFW logo or anywhere in the LFW Daily newspaper that says it’s been supercharged by Aurasma.
Step 3
CLICK
‘Yes’ when asked ‘Do you already have an image with this symbol?’
Step 4
WATCH
exclusive London Fashion Week content: designer interviews, catwalk footage and more.
Here's how we used Aurasma at London Fashion Week, September 2011:
- the cover of the LFW Daily sprung to life when the reader hovered over with Aurasma. The first issue featured a cover image of backstage at House of Holland which then transformed to an exclusive interview with Henry about his SS12 collection. The other covers linked to a show video of the designer pictured. Watch it in action here.
- the models moved in the LFW Daily Catwalk Highlights! The reader could hover over the page with the Aurasma app to reach the catwalk show video of the
designer pictured.
- the LFW logo itself dynamically lead to the daily
video highlights. The LFW visitor could just hover over wherever the logo was visible on site and online.
