POST-NYFW and LFW chat so far has centred on the fact that more than one collection has looked perhaps more winter-appropriate than summer. And it’s something you could call into question with Albino’s spring/summer 2012 offering today too.
The first few looks were coat-y or heavy-looking dresses – not quite the summer skin-baring styles we’re used to seeing. But then it did move on and it all became very much about the asymmetrical – with angular dresses whose arms and necklines and top halves jutted out from here and there and were more or less mirrored on the below.
Layers were the look to note here – be they tiered or skirts on skirts with smothered-blooms in diffusing shades of pink and orange and yellow above them.
