Show Report

WOMENSWEAR has been lounging around in the Seventies for some while now – a decade that proved to be quite the hit for Viktor & Rolf this morning as the second day of menswear shows took hold and the designers - Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren - showed us what was on their mind for the new season.

High-waisted trousers in shades of cornflower blue, layered shirts over T-shirts, easy blazers of thigh-skimming length, a nod to causal eveningwear, shades of yellow in pastel and lemon and a super covetable dolphin motif as it happens – on a jumper and a shirt (both of which we have earmarked).

It was quite the fun and light-hearted change in tune from the Dutch design duo who, for autumn/winter 2011-12, went all severe on us. While we wait for this summer to materialise, this was a nice reminder of what, when it does, they can be like - sartorially speaking.
