Show Report

ROLAND MOURET took us back to the Forties for his debut menswear catwalk show – last season he launched his menswear collection in his showroom - with a collection that oozed the same easy Hollywood elegance as his womenswear.

While silhouettes were kept loose, belted safari jackets gave a retro feel – as did the wide-legged pleated-front trousers. T-shirts and polo shirts were worn with zip-through jackets and lightweight knits. The high crown boater hats acted as the perfect accessory, and we could just imagine the Roland Mouret man sitting outside a French café reading his Jean Paul Sartre wearing such a look, with his equally well-dressed Mouret girl by his side.
