WHILE Roberto Cavalli was meeting and greeting his VIP guests (who included Dizzee Rascal) for his menswear show in Milan, his 25-year-old son Daniele was backstage putting the finishing touches on his third collection for the brand.
The Cavalli man will be spending plenty of time in and around the Riviera next summer if the clothes on the catwalk were anything to go by: plenty of stripes and yacht club-friendly pastels and loafers, worn as only the Euro elite would wear them – sockless.
But the Cavalli man is not a retiring type. Suits in sunflower yellow, cobalt blue and magenta, and a pair of fuchsia striped trousers, mean that he’ll be the centre of attention wherever he goes. Meanwhile, the cut was slim, very slim, through waists and down legs, so only the leanest of lounge-lovers need apply.
