Show Report

ANYONE for a round of golf? Miuccia Prada certainly is if her menswear spring/summer 2012 collection is anything to go by. On the weekend that Wimbledon kicks off, Mrs Prada got us in the sporting mood with her retro golf-inspired collection that was all about the surf (the Fifties pastel prints) and the turf (the faux grassy catwalk) via natty little cardigans, studded and bejewelled jackets, eggshell blue blazers and fringed-tongue brogues.

The designer had said prior to the show she wanted to present something a little more on the carefree side and this did indeed seem to wander more into the territory that we have come to find familiar in her Miu Miu collections. There was something artistic in the jaunty berets and baker boy caps and fun in the bold floral prints that smothered trousers in pink, yellow and green.
