Show Report

SUITED and booted, the Dolce & Gabbana man’s wardrobe has taken a mesh-filled twist for spring/summer 2012. Featuring on jackets and vests, shorts and trousers, it became the sartorial synonym for net – as in the internet with the duo projecting tweets across the back of the catwalk.

But when it wasn’t net and mesh, it was an expert lesson in tailoring as you’d expect from the design duo. Suits were sleek in silhouette in every way – from the ties to the lapels (which were sometimes non-existent) – making quite the contrast to the mesh and the baggier styles of trouser worn beneath them and rolled-up at the ankle.

And when it wasn’t mesh or suits, it was David Gandy in sheer shorts – the male supermodel had been in town to celebrate the launch of Dolce & Gabbana’s new book, of which he is the subject - read about it here.
